FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is the Disciple Makers Boot Camp?

The Disciple Makers Bootcamp is a one-day (6 hour) training event designed to help equip, encourage, and mobilize ordinary Christians to become active, intentional, and reproducing disciple makers.

The goal of the Bootcamp is to help you understand the basic core concepts necessary for you to begin to become an intentional disciple maker.

The Disciple Makers Bootcamp can be taken as a stand-alone training event, or as the first step of an equipping process that includes training cohorts and on-going coaching and mentoring.

The 100 Disciple Makers Training Process has three components:

  • Disciple Makers Boot Camp (one day)
  • Training Cohorts (12 Weeks)
  • Monthly Coaching (on going)

Who is this for?

The Disciple Makers Bootcamp was designed to help “ordinary Christians” become active and intentional Disciple Makers. You don’t need to be a “super mature” Christian, have special gifts, expert knowledge of the Bible, or leadership experience to participate.

Those who will benefit most from the training will have the following qualities…

  • You are a Christian and have a basic understanding of the Bible
  • You have already taken personal responsibility for our own spiritual growth
  • You have a desire to be used by God to make a difference in others
  • You are open and teachable

What will I learn?

You will be taught the “5 Discipleship Diagrams” that will help you understand the essential core concepts of disciple making, including…

  • The Biblical foundation of Disciple Making
  • How to inspire ordinary Christians to become Disciple Makers
  • The 5 qualities of a mature disciple
  • The 4 responsibilities of a Disciple Maker
  • The 4 Stages of Growth every disciple goes through
  • The 5 essentials of a healthy Disciple Making environment

You will be introduced to 5 practical Disciple Making Tools that will help your disciples learn how to…

  • Establish healthy spiritual habits
  • Study the Bible on their own
  • Grow in prayer
  • Begin to share the Gospel with others
  • Lead great discipleship meetings

When and where is the Bootcamp?

The next Disciple Makers Bootcamp will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2024 (9 AM to 3 PM) in the South Bay area of Los Angeles at Gardena Valley Baptist Church (Lunch and snacks are included).

  • Address: 1630 W. 158th St, Gardena, CA 90247. Here’s a link to Google Maps
  • Feel free to invite others who you think should be there, but please have each individual register separately.

What is the next step after the Bootcamp?

The Disciple Makers Bootcamp can be considered a stand-alone training event, or as the first step of a bigger Disciple Making Training Process that also include training cohorts and monthly coaching.

  • You do not need to commit to participating in the cohorts or coaching to benefit from the Bootcamp training.
  • But if after the Bootcamp, you want to see the disciple making concepts and tools modeled for you in action, you should join a Training Cohort.

Tell me more about the Training Cohorts.

After the Boot Camp, you will be given the opportunity to apply to join a 12-week Training Cohort.

  • The purpose of Training Cohorts is to equip and prepare Boot Camp participants to apply the disciple making concepts as they become intentional disciple makers.
  • These cohorts will be led by experienced Disciple Making Coaches who will help you gain confidence to become intentional disciple makers through a process of intentional modeling, practice, and coaching.

Training Cohorts starting in May 2024

  • Sundays at 7 AM — GVBC
  • Thursdays at 7 PM — Zoom
  • Fridays at Noon — Zoom
  • We will add more cohorts if needed
